WaMu Theater
WaMu Theater is a flexible indoor performance venue located within Lumen Field's Event Center in Pioneer Square. This modern concert hall offers versatile seating configurations with 4,700 theater-style seats, 7,200 general admission capacity, and the ability to expand to 9,000 for major events. The venue serves as an ideal space for concerts, corporate meetings, private parties, and special events, featuring state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems. Connected to Lumen Field's infrastructure, WaMu Theater provides the intimacy of a dedicated concert venue with the convenience of stadium-level amenities and parking, making it a popular choice for both touring artists and local events in Seattle's sports and entertainment district.
Historic note: Opened November 6, 2006 with inaugural concert by Seal. Created through AEG Live and First & Goal partnership within the Lumen Field Event Center. Originally named under a 10-year deal with Washington Mutual bank. After WaMu's 2008 bankruptcy, the name was retained but reinterpreted as 'Washington Music Theater.' Located adjacent to Lumen Field in Seattle's SoDo district.
