Swedish Club
The Swedish Club (now Swedish Cultural Center) is a historic landmark located at 1920 Dexter Avenue North that has served Seattle's Scandinavian community since its founding in 1892. Originally established at the Stockholm Hotel to serve Swedish immigrants, this venerable institution has evolved into an inclusive Nordic community center that celebrates Swedish culture and heritage while welcoming all visitors. The venue's traditional banquet hall features a stage and can accommodate various event sizes, while the building's historic architecture reflects over 130 years of Scandinavian cultural presence in Seattle. The Swedish Club offers affordable event space rentals with a 10% discount for nonprofits, includes setup of tables and chairs, and provides parking along with marvelous views of the surrounding neighborhood. This cultural center continues to host concerts, dances, meetings, celebrations, and community events that preserve Nordic traditions while fostering an inclusive environment for greater Seattle.
