Jules Maes Saloon

Bars & pubs touring band

Seattle's oldest bar, a Georgetown landmark since 1888 serving comfort food with a bistro flair and freshly squeezed drinks. Features live music, a back room stage, and historic atmosphere in a designated Seattle Historic Site.

Historic note: Claims to be Seattle's oldest bar, established 1888 in Georgetown (then an independent city). Originally at 5953 Airport Way S, purchased by Belgian-born bartender Jules Gustaf Maes. In 1936, he opened at the current 5919 Airport Way S location, backdating the founding to 1888. The building ('The Brick Store') at the corner of Airport Way and Nebraska is listed as a Seattle Historic Site. The bar has survived Prohibition, multiple owners, and Georgetown's industrial transformations.
