Benaroya Hall is the stunning home of the Seattle Symphony in downtown Seattle, featuring two world-class performance venues. The S. Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium seats 2,500 and showcases the Symphony's full orchestral performances, while the intimate Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall seats 536 for chamber music and solo performances. Opened in 1998 at a cost of $120 million, the hall was designed by LMN Architects and is renowned for its exceptional acoustics designed by Cyril Harris. The lobby features spectacular glass art installations by Dale Chihuly, including the famous Crystal Cascade sculpture, making it both a musical and visual destination that has helped establish Seattle as a major cultural center.
